Extension of school closure

March 19, 2020 The Hawaii State Department of Education (HIDOE) public schools and charter schools will close its offices except for essential functions effective Thursday, March 19. All schools will close March 30 following the extension of spring break. Students are anticipated to return to school on Tuesday, April 7. 

ULS Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences- canceled

March 18, 2020 Aloha ULS Elementary Parents/Guardians, Due to the extended spring break, ULS will be canceling all parent-teacher conferences that were scheduled for the week of March 23-27, 2020. March 15, 2020- The Hawai‘i State Department of Education is extending its spring break through March 27 for all public and charter schools. Zone 1 Parking Lot Closed During Spring Break

As a reminder, the Zone 1 Parking Lot will be closed starting 4:00p.m. March 13th, 2020 through Sunday, March 22, 2020 due to the paving project.

2020 Oahu Girls’ Summit

On February 20, a group of ULS students attended the Girl's Summit 2020 hosted by the Patsy T. Mink Center for Business and Leadership. At the summit, students had the opportunity to attend workshops centered on the empowerment of young women to become leaders and stewards of their community. Our 

Middle School Speech Team

On Saturday February 22, our Middle School Speech Team competed in the ‘Iolani Middle School Speech Tournament. All of our students did an excellent job representing ULS and earned several recognitions in their perspective speech categories. The team proudly earned a trophy for placing second overall in the tournament. Congratulations 

Bukkyo University Visitation

Pre-service elementary English language students from Bukkyo University in Kyoto, Japan visited our elementary and sixth grade classes on Thursday, February 20. After the visit, the group had an opportunity to talk with our elementary teachers and counselors to learn more about our unique academic program and learning environment at 

Sapporo Gakuin University Visitation

On February 21 and 24, a group of pre-service English language students from Sapporo Gakuin University in Hokkaido, Japan visited ULS English classes.
