All Aboard the Mighty Mo

Our 4th and 5th grade students had a great time on the Battleship Missouri! Students learned about navigation using the stars, stories, and modern-day equipment to understand how wayfinders travel the globe. The trip was an opportunity for the students to take what they learned in the classroom and apply 

Campus Beautification and HI-5 Recycling Day

ULS was made cleaner and greener during the Campus Beautification and Hi-5 Recycling Day held on Sept. 28.  Students, faculty, staff and parents/families volunteered to help with beautification projects and recycling. Seeking Sustainability with Nihon University High School 

ULS students shared ideas for global sustainability with more than 30 students from Nihon University High School during their visit, Sept. 30. Both groups of students presented actionable steps to achieve one of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), goals agreed to by United Nations Member States in 2015. These goals 

PAC-5 50th Anniversary Celebration

The PAC-5 organization celebrated their 50th anniversary on Saturday, September 21, 2024. To commemorate this occasion, long time PAC-5 athletic director and coach, Don Botelho was recognized for his role in PAC-5’s humble beginnings to its lasting strength. Included in this honor was former athletic director John Hom and current 

K-5 Visits Makaha Farm!

Our K-5 students had a fun learning day at Hoa Ā‘ina ‘O Makaha Farms. They were able to see different plants and growing systems and learned about environmental sustainability. This visit will help our students in starting their own school gardening projects.

National Merit Semifinalist – Kian Sanchez

Each year the National Merit® Scholarship program honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.  This year we are proud to recognize University Laboratory School Senior Kian Sanchez, who is among a select group of 16,000 high achieving high school students, representing
