End of the Third Quarter

Third Quarter The third quarter will end on Friday, March 10, 2023. Powerschool will be shut down for students and parents over the spring break to allow teachers the time to complete their grading and finalize quarter grades. Third quarter report cards will be mailed home the week of March 

Spring Break – March 13-17, 2023

                                        Spring break is from March 13-17, 2023. School will resume for the 4th quarter on March 20, 2023.  

WASC Accreditation Visit- March 6-9, 2023

Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Accreditation Visit ULS is preparing for a visit by the WASC committee, which represents our accrediting organization. The visit will take place next week Monday, March 6 through Thursday, March 9, 2023. During this time our students, faculty and staff, and administrative team 

Athletic Participation for School Year 2023-2024

Students who are interested in playing sports next school year will need to complete all sports clearances prior to the first day of practice. This includes any summer league sports participation. Here are the following: Concussion baseline testing (in May at ULS) Sports physical form (completed by pediatrician) Consent and

Happy Holidays! Winter Break: No School

Students wrapped up the fall semester with Holiday activities and assemblies. The elementary students participated in a gingerbread house making activity while the middle school and high school students had their end of semester assemblies filled with games and activities. Have a good and well deserved winter break. Happy Holidays!

Middle School Attend STEMWorks Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

Thirteen ULS middle school students attended the STEMWorks Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day event held at UH Mānoa last week. The event was held to provide opportunities and to promote the field of engineering to girls specifically. Our students participated in hands-on learning projects and met with professional engineers 

HOSA State Leadership Conference (SLC)

Our ULS HOSA members attended the State Leadership Conference at the Convention Center this week. ULS students competed in events, met health professionals in different fields and attended workshops. Three of our students medaled in their specific health care events! The HOSA club is a great opportunity for students to 

4th & 5th Grade Field Study to Kennedy Theater

  This past week our ULS 4th and 5th graders attended an interactive play at Kennedy Theater. The students worked together on a mission to solve the climate crisis. They had a great time learning and coming up with ways to help save the planet!
