Foodland’s Give Aloha program – Support ULS

  This year, the University Laboratory School is excited to participate in Give Aloha, Foodland’s Annual Community Matching Gifts program! This program runs during the month of September and it’s easy to participate! Simply make a donation to our organization (#77698) at Foodland in September, and Foodland and Western Union Foundation 

Federal Survey Card

On Wednesday, September 6, 2023 we will be sending a U.S. Dept. of Education Federal Survey Card home with your child  for parents to complete.  Completed Federal Impact Aid Program Survey cards are very important to the determination of federal money schools may be eligible to receive. End of the Third Quarter

Third Quarter The third quarter will end on Friday, March 10, 2023. Powerschool will be shut down for students and parents over the spring break to allow teachers the time to complete their grading and finalize quarter grades. Third quarter report cards will be mailed home the week of March 

Spring Break – March 13-17, 2023

                                        Spring break is from March 13-17, 2023. School will resume for the 4th quarter on March 20, 2023.  

Athletic Participation for School Year 2023-2024

Students who are interested in playing sports next school year will need to complete all sports clearances prior to the first day of practice. This includes any summer league sports participation. Here are the following: Concussion baseline testing (in May at ULS) Sports physical form (completed by pediatrician) Consent and

Happy Holidays! Winter Break: No School

Students wrapped up the fall semester with Holiday activities and assemblies. The elementary students participated in a gingerbread house making activity while the middle school and high school students had their end of semester assemblies filled with games and activities. Have a good and well deserved winter break. Happy Holidays! 

2023 ULS Homecoming

Aloha ULS ‘Ohana, Save the date and come support our ULS girls and boys varsity basketball teams at the 2023 ULS Homecoming event on Saturday, January 14, 2023. This annual ULS tradition brings current families, alumni and ULS supporters together in the spirit of Jr. Bows pride. To commemorate this

National Merit Semi-Finalist – Joshua Li

Congratulations to University Laboratory School Senior Joshua Li!  Joshua’s distinguished performance on the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®) qualified him as a Semifinalist in the 2024 National Merit® Scholarship Program.  We are extremely proud of Joshua’s achievement on this very rigorous national test.  Over 1.3 million juniors 

Hakuoh University (Tochigi, Japan) – Visitation

The University Laboratory School welcomed 17 visiting faculty and pre-service student teachers from Hakuoh University, Japan, on August 30, 2023. They were greeted by ULS Principal, Keoni Jeremiah. The visiting students and faculty observed the ULS gr. 11 Math class with Mr. Fisichelli and Gr. 10 English classes with Ms. 

Bukkyo University (Kyoto, Japan) – Visitation

The University Laboratory School welcomed visiting faculty from Bukkyo University in Kyoto, Japan, on August 28-29, 2023. On the first day they visited our elementary mathematics and English Language Arts classes. On the second day they visited art, music, math, English, second language, and learning laboratory classes in the middle 

ULS Students at the Worldwide Learning Consortium International Peace Conference in Nagasaki, Japan

ULS Students, Jenesis D. (11th gr.) and Trinity S. (11th gr.) share their experience being invited to participate and travel to the Worldwide Learning Consortium (WWL) International Peace Conference for High School Students in Nagasaki, Japan this past summer. This conference and related activities were hosted by the Nagasaki Prefectural
