Students and parents are notified that there is is no school for students on Monday, September 16, 2019 as it is the ULS Teacher In-Service Day.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk/Run

American Cancer Society: Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk/Run Join our school’s Team Jr. Bows led by the ULS HOSA (Future Health Professionals) students on Saturday, October 26 at Keehi Lagoon Beach Park for the walk/run or if can’t join us for the walk, donations are still very much appreciated 

Give Aloha- Foodland’s Annual Community Matching Gifts Program

From September 1-30, customers are invited to make donations of up to a cumulative total of $249 (per person, per organization) at checkout to their favorite Hawai`i non-profit organization registered in the Give Aloha program. Donations are accepted at any Foodland, Sack N Save or Foodland Farms checkout.  ULS registration 

Support ULS Athletics – Shop and Score at Times Super Market!

Times Super Market Shop & Score program beginning September 4 to October 15. Shop at Times, buy participating products and score points for University Laboratory School Athletics. Make sure to say #353 or University Laboratory School to the cashier when shopping at Times Super Market.

2019-2020 ULS Student-Parent Handbook and Handbook Agreement Form – Due 8/13/19 

All students will be given a ULS Student-Parent Handbook Agreement Form during Homeroom on the first day of school, August 8, 2019. Students are to take the Agreement Form home and give it to parents/guardians. As shared in the information mailed home during the summer, the 2019-2020 ULS Student-Parent Handbook

Blue Zones Community Project

This year ULS is participating in a number of community service projects with Blue Zones. Blue Zones is a community outreach program that works with local schools and businesses to bring awareness to things like healthy living and healthy habits. Blue Zones focuses on self-awareness by promoting proper diet, exercise 

Welcome and Aloha to Hakuoh University

The University Laboratory School welcomed 24 visiting faculty and pre-service elementary student teachers from Hakuoh University, Japan, on August 30, 2019. They were greeted by Dean Murata from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa College of Education and ULS Principal, Keoni Jeremiah. They observed ULS  Gr. 8 Math and Gr. 

Tsukuba University Elementary School Visitation 2019

The University Laboratory School welcomed Tsukuba University Elementary School (Japan) students and teachers on August 26-27, 2019. The 19 Gr. 4 students from Tsukuba University Elementary School participated in a physical education class with PE Teacher, Mr. Howard and the Gr. 4-5 ULS students, learned hula from Kumu Alison Hartle 

Welcome visiting faculty from Chonnam National University

The University Laboratory School welcomed University of Hawaii English Language Program (HELP) visiting faculty from Chonnam National University’s Korean Teacher training seminar group, August 13-15, 2019. They participated in our beginning of the school year activities, observation of classes, and shared Korean culture lessons with our students.
